To thoroughly implement the national strategic deployment of deepening the integration of industry and education for professional degree postgraduates and promoting the classified training reform of academic and professional degrees, and to address the key challenges of large-scale postgraduate training and high-quality employment under the new situation, from November 27 to 28, 2025, Prof. Liu Zhi-gang, Vice Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University, led a delegation including Teacher Wang Li from the Student Work Group and Teacher Duan Fuchuan, Secretary of the Sub-Committee of Academic Degree Evaluation of the school, to conduct research in Nanjing NARI Industrial Control Technology Co., Ltd. and Changzhou CRCC Electrification Bureau Group Rail Transit Equipment Co., Ltd. The delegation formally signed agreements on "Establishing Postgraduate Practice Bases through University-Enterprise Cooperation" with the two enterprises.
This initiative aims to deepen university-enterprise cooperation and innovate the education mechanism with "collaboration between advisors and counselors", so as to build a substantive support for cultivating high-level applied talents.

The research team visited the core R&D and production areas of the enterprises. At Nanjing NARI Industrial Control Technology Co., Ltd., the team focused on inspecting the latest industrialization achievements of industrial control technology and equipment R&D; at Changzhou CRCC Electrification Bureau Group Rail Transit Equipment Co., Ltd., they conducted on-site research on the whole-process technology and inspection system of rail transit equipment manufacturing. By intuitively understanding the enterprises' product systems, scientific research platforms and industry layouts, the school further clarified the specific requirements of enterprises for postgraduates' engineering practice capabilities, laying a solid foundation for transforming "enterprise problems" into "postgraduate research topics" and "production sites" into "scientific research battlefields" in the future.
At the symposium, the two parties conducted in-depth discussions on talent training models. In response to the current disconnect between scientific research and career development in postgraduate training, the school highlighted the new "advisor guidance + counselor collaboration" education model being explored.


Mr. Duan Fu-chuan introduced the school's strong strength from the perspective of discipline construction and talent output, while the participation of Counselor Wang Li reflected the "soft care" in the school's education work——that is, advisors oversee academic research and engineering technology, and counselors focus on career planning and psychological growth, forming a two-way linkage of "education synergy". The enterprise parties highly praised this model, believing that it helps students adapt to corporate culture faster, achieve a smooth transition from "campus students" to "professionals", and expressed a strong willingness to conduct in-depth binding in technological research and development and talent recruitment.

In line with the principle of complementary advantages and resource sharing, the school formally signed agreements on "Establishing Postgraduate Practice Bases through University-Enterprise Cooperation" with the two leading enterprises in the industry.
In the future, the school will continue to deepen strategic cooperation with leading enterprises in the industry, give full play to the institutional advantages of "collaboration between advisors and counselors", and further expand high-quality off-campus practice resources.
