Recently, the finals of the 5th Sichuan-Chongqing Young Teacher Competition, themed "Forging Teacher's Soul with Virtue and Upholding Original Aspiration, Integrating Wisdom of Sichuan and Chongqing to Bloom Youthful Elegance", co-hosted by the Education Department of Sichuan Province and the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, successfully concluded at Chengdu Normal University. After rigorous multi-stage selection through preliminary contests, semi-finals and the final round, Mr. Sun Pengfei from our college achieved the excellent result of winning the second prize in the higher education group.

It is reported that this competition is rooted in the coordinated educational development of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, focusing on six core dimensions: teacher ethics and conduct construction, promotion of the educator spirit, AI-enabled education, classroom teaching practice, teachers' aesthetic literacy, and comprehensive performance competence. The event set up four competition segments: teacher ethics speech / education story narration, smart classroom teaching demonstration, teachers' aesthetic literacy showcase, and on-site comprehensive literacy assessment. A total of 6,578 young teachers from universities, primary and secondary schools, and kindergartens across Sichuan and Chongqing participated in the preliminary selection, and 201 outstanding contestants advanced to the offline national finals.

In the final stage, Mr. Sun focused on three competition segments: education story narration, AI-enabled smart classroom demonstration, and aesthetic talent showcase. He deeply integrated the ideological and political education concepts into digital teaching practices, fully demonstrating the spiritual outlook, professional competence and sense of mission of young teachers in our university.
